A Day That Changed Everything — 4 April 2026

Saturday, 4th April 2026 is a date I will always carry in my heart.

During the Easter holidays, I boarded a local speedboat owned by Emma Nasinom of About Tours a local from that area and my 17-year-old son Jeremiah and I travelled to Salamata Paradise Haus in Asisini Village, Huon Gulf District, Morobe Province.

I did not know a single person there at Asini Village but I knew that I had been called.

A Purpose That Never Left Me

At the age of 20, I discovered my God-given mandate—to serve women, youth, girls, and local entrepreneurs. That purpose has never left me. And in that moment, I knew this journey was bigger than fear, uncertainty or comfort.

The Step of Faith

My son was unsure. ” Mum, do you know anyone there?”. “No!”, I answered honestly and with confidence. The was silence then from him and he stopped packing. “Can we cancel this holiday trip?” I said, “No we are confirmed to go and I already did payment of two thousand one hundred kina for the Salamata Paradise Guest Haus, the boat operator return trip and we must go”. There were no guarantees. No connections. Only faith, purpose and obedience.

The Journey Begins

We took a fifty-kina taxi to Voco Point harborside, at Lae near the Lae Yatch Club and at 10:00am, we boarded the About Tours speedboat with local owner Emma and her crew and a sister friend going also to Salamata Paradise Haus. What we carried with us was bags of clothes for give away as charity donations to the local people and not just our luggage’s and training materials-but belief, courage and a mission.

Where Strangers Became Family

At Salamata, Assini Village, everything changed. The people welcomed us with open hearts. We didn’t just teach financial literacy-we shared stories, struggles, and dreams. And somewhere in between. Strangers became family.

More Than Training — A Transformation

What started as a pilot Financial Literacy Training became one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. We connected deeply with the community. We built trust. We inspired hope.

A Message to the World

When you step into your purpose:

  • You don’t just change lives
  • You become part of them
  • You create impact that lasts

I am deeply grateful:

  • For the voice that guided me
  • For the courage to act
  • For the people who welcomed us

This is not the end.

This is just the beginning.
